Abbasid: temp. al-Rashid AH 170-193 (786-809), AV gold Dinar (4.14g), mintless type (Misr), AH176 (AD 802)."Second Symbol" (Quran 9: 33), Kalima in three lines across field / "Bismillah struck was this dinar in the year six and seventy and one hundred" in outer margin, "Muhammad the messenger of Allah" in three lines across field with governor name Ja'far below reverse legend. (Album 218.11; Bernardi 69), clipped, with some light graffiti above reverse legend. Very fine.
